1. Our Fee Philosophy

GRAIL is committed to maintaining a transparent and fair marketplace.

Whenever reasonably possible, applicable fees and charges will be displayed before you complete a transaction.

Before a buyer submits payment, GRAIL intends to display all transaction amounts that are reasonably calculable, including item price, marketplace charges, shipping, estimated or final applicable tax, GRAIL Credit applied, and the final amount due.

The buyer should be able to review the total before being redirected to or completing payment through Stripe. Taxes, carrier charges, customs obligations, or other amounts that legally or practically cannot be determined in advance may be handled as disclosed under applicable law and marketplace policy.

Marketplace fees help support:

  • Secure payment processing
  • Buyer Protection
  • Seller Protection
  • Fraud prevention
  • Customer support
  • Marketplace operations
  • Platform development
  • Rewards and promotional programs
  • Security and compliance
  • New marketplace features

Our goal is to build a sustainable marketplace while rewarding trusted collectors and sellers.

2. Current Marketplace Fees

The current marketplace fee model is resolved by the application’s centralized checkout, rewards, seller-fee, shipping, and order finalization logic.

Buyer pays
  • Item price.
  • Buyer marketplace fee: currently none.
  • Shipping shown before payment.
  • Applicable taxes calculated for the transaction.
  • Optional services chosen by the buyer, if separately disclosed.
  • Less eligible GRAIL Credit applied at checkout.
Seller pays
  • Seller marketplace fee: 8.00% to 5.75% of item price, based on seller reward level.
  • Auction Reserve Commitment Fee where a reserve auction requires checkout: 5% of the reserve price, with a $1 minimum and $100 maximum.
  • Shipping label cost when a GRAIL label is purchased through the order workflow.
  • No separate marketplace payment-processing surcharge is currently added unless disclosed for that transaction.
Seller receives
  • Item price minus applicable seller marketplace fees.
  • Subject to shipping label costs, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, payout holds, fraud reviews, and other authorized transaction adjustments.
  • GRAIL Credit applied by a buyer reduces the buyer’s eligible charge but does not change the stated item price.

3. Marketplace Fees

GRAIL may charge marketplace fees on completed transactions.

Marketplace fees may apply to buyers, sellers, or both, depending on the transaction, marketplace feature, promotional program, or future business model.

The current production marketplace model is described in the Current Marketplace Fees section above. GRAIL does not charge a buyer marketplace fee unless that charge is specifically disclosed before the buyer commits to payment.

Sellers should be shown the applicable marketplace fee or estimated proceeds through the relevant listing, transaction, order, or seller-dashboard experience when reasonably available.

Final seller proceeds may change because of refunds, disputes, chargebacks, cancellations, shipping adjustments, taxes where applicable, fraud reviews, or other authorized transaction adjustments.

Applicable fees may vary only when supported by the Platform and disclosed to the affected user. Factors may include:

  • Marketplace category
  • Type of listing
  • Selling format
  • Membership benefits when expressly disclosed
  • Reward level when expressly disclosed
  • Trust Score when expressly disclosed
  • Seller performance when expressly disclosed
  • Promotional campaigns
  • Beta programs
  • Referral programs
  • Marketplace events
  • Geographic location where permitted by law
  • Other criteria established by GRAIL

Applicable fees will generally be disclosed before a transaction is completed.

04

4. Payment Processing Fees

Payments on GRAIL are processed through third-party payment providers.

Payment processing fees help support:

  • Secure checkout
  • Payment authorization
  • Fraud detection
  • Refund processing
  • Chargeback management
  • Seller payouts

GRAIL may incur payment-processing costs through its payment providers.

A payment-processing charge will be imposed on a user only when it is specifically disclosed as part of that transaction.

These provider costs are determined in part by payment providers and may change over time.

Where applicable, payment-related charges will be disclosed before checkout.

05

5. Shipping Charges

Shipping costs may vary depending on factors including:

  • Seller origin
  • Buyer destination
  • Package size
  • Package dimensions
  • Package weight
  • Carrier
  • Shipping service selected
  • Insurance
  • Signature confirmation
  • Other supported shipping services
  • Other shipping-related factors

Listings may display a standard projected shipping estimate. When a buyer provides or selects a delivery address, checkout may calculate an eligible carrier rate using GRAIL’s shipping integration, the seller’s configured shipping origin, available carrier services, and supported package assumptions.

Available shipping charges are shown before payment whenever they can be calculated.

Shipping charges may be separate from GRAIL marketplace fees. Seller label costs are fulfillment expenses and may be deducted from seller proceeds where the order workflow supports GRAIL label purchase.

06

6. Taxes

Buyers are responsible for applicable taxes, duties, customs charges, import fees, VAT, GST, sales tax, or other government-imposed charges required by law.

Where required, GRAIL may calculate, collect, report, and remit certain taxes on behalf of sellers or taxing authorities.

Applicable taxes are calculated based on transaction and jurisdictional information, and tax may be calculated through GRAIL’s payment or tax providers.

Taxes are separate from GRAIL marketplace fees.

International buyers may be responsible for duties, customs fees, VAT, GST, brokerage fees, or similar government charges when applicable.

Tax amounts vary based on applicable law and transaction details.

07

7. Optional Marketplace Services

GRAIL may offer optional paid services. Currently available paid services may include GRAIL Pass membership and auction Reserve Commitment Fee checkout where presented by the Platform.

Potential future optional services may include:

  • Featured listings
  • Promotional placement
  • Premium seller tools
  • Authentication services
  • Advertising opportunities
  • Shipping enhancements
  • Future marketplace services

Potential future services are not active charges unless GRAIL separately offers them and expressly discloses their price and terms before purchase.

Any applicable fees for optional services will be disclosed before purchase.

08

8. GRAIL Credit

Eligible users may redeem GRAIL Credit toward qualifying purchases in accordance with the Terms of Service and applicable promotional rules.

GRAIL Credit:

  • Has no cash value
  • Is not legal tender
  • Is not redeemable for cash
  • May not be withdrawn
  • May not be transferred unless expressly permitted by GRAIL
  • May be subject to eligibility requirements
  • May be used only for eligible marketplace purchases

The amount of GRAIL Credit applied cannot exceed the eligible wallet balance or permitted transaction amount.

GRAIL Credit reduces the buyer’s eligible checkout charge. It does not change the stated item price.

GRAIL Credit does not automatically eliminate taxes, shipping, or fees unless checkout expressly shows that result.

Refund and restoration treatment may depend on the applicable refund and rewards policies.

The use of GRAIL Credit does not eliminate applicable marketplace fees unless expressly stated during checkout.

09

9. Tiered Pricing, Rewards, and Marketplace Incentives

One of GRAIL’s goals is to reward trusted participation within the marketplace.

As a result, marketplace fees, discounts, credits, incentives, and other benefits may differ between users only where supported by the Platform and expressly disclosed.

Reward Level, GRAIL Pass membership, Trust Score, marketplace participation, seller performance, buyer history, or promotional eligibility may qualify a user for a fee-related offer only when GRAIL expressly discloses that offer and its applicable terms.

Eligibility may depend on factors including:

  • Reward Level
  • GRAIL Pass membership
  • Trust Score
  • Seller performance
  • Buyer history
  • Marketplace participation
  • Promotional campaigns
  • Referral programs
  • Beta testing participation
  • Marketplace events
  • Category-specific promotions
  • Other eligibility criteria established by GRAIL

Where separately offered and expressly disclosed, benefits may include:

  • Reduced marketplace fees
  • Promotional fee waivers
  • Listing credits
  • Shipping incentives
  • Bonus GRAIL Credit
  • Premium feature discounts
  • Early access to new marketplace features
  • Exclusive marketplace promotions
  • Other incentives determined by GRAIL

GRAIL Pass does not guarantee a fee reduction. Trust Score does not guarantee a fee reduction. Reward Level does not guarantee a fee reduction.

Promotions may have separate rules, limits, eligibility requirements, and expiration dates.

Eligibility for any benefit does not create a permanent right to that benefit.

Benefits, discounts, fee reductions, and promotional programs may be modified, suspended, replaced, or discontinued at any time in accordance with the Terms of Service.

10

10. Failed Payments and Chargebacks

If a payment cannot be successfully completed, GRAIL may:

  • Cancel the transaction
  • Delay order processing
  • Request an alternative payment method
  • Restrict certain marketplace activity until payment issues are resolved
  • Take other reasonable actions consistent with the Terms of Service

A failed or declined payment means payment authorization did not complete. A refund means a payment was completed and later reversed in whole or in part. A payment dispute or chargeback means the payment is challenged through a payment provider, bank, card network, or other authorized process.

GRAIL may restrict marketplace activity or investigate accounts where payment abuse or chargeback abuse is suspected, consistent with the Terms of Service.

Users remain responsible for amounts properly owed to GRAIL.

11

11. Fee Changes

Marketplace fees are subject to change.

GRAIL may modify, add, reduce, suspend, waive, or eliminate fees over time.

Fee changes may apply to:

  • Individual users
  • Marketplace categories
  • Seller tiers
  • Reward Levels when expressly disclosed
  • Trust Score levels when expressly disclosed
  • GRAIL Pass memberships when expressly disclosed
  • Promotional campaigns
  • Geographic regions where permitted by law
  • Specific marketplace features
  • Certain transaction types
  • Any combination of the above

Not every user or transaction will necessarily be subject to the same fee structure.

Current published rates remain applicable according to the transaction and effective date shown, subject to applicable law and any disclosed transaction-specific terms.

Material changes may be announced through the Platform, email, or another reasonable method.

New fees should not be retroactively imposed on a transaction already completed unless required by law or necessary to correct an error and legally permitted.

Promotional rates may expire according to their own stated terms.

When practical, updated fees will be published before becoming effective.

Continued use of the Platform after revised fees become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Fee Schedule, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

12

12. Pricing and Fee Errors

GRAIL may correct calculation errors, display errors, duplicate charges, incorrect discounts, incorrect credit applications, technical issues, or other obvious pricing mistakes when reasonably necessary to maintain marketplace integrity.

Corrections will be handled reasonably, in good faith, and consistently with applicable law, Buyer Protection, and marketplace policies.

This section does not eliminate or weaken any rights that apply under Buyer Protection or applicable law.

13

13. Refund of Fees

Whether marketplace fees, payment processing fees, shipping charges, taxes, or other transaction-related charges are refundable depends on:

  • Whether payment was captured
  • Whether the order was canceled
  • Whether the item shipped
  • Whether the buyer received a refund
  • Whether a dispute or chargeback occurred
  • Payment processor requirements
  • Payment-provider charges
  • Shipping-label usage
  • Applicable law
  • Marketplace policies
  • Other relevant circumstances

Where a transaction is refunded, GRAIL will determine any applicable fee adjustments in accordance with the Terms of Service, Buyer Protection Policy, Refund & Dispute Policy, and applicable law.

No statement in this Fee Schedule means all marketplace fees, processing costs, shipping charges, taxes, or other charges are always refundable or never refundable.

16

16. Changes to This Fee Schedule

GRAIL may update this Fee Schedule from time to time to reflect changes in:

  • Marketplace pricing
  • Rewards programs
  • Membership benefits
  • Payment providers
  • Shipping services
  • Applicable laws
  • Business operations

When material changes are made, we may notify users through the Platform, email, or another reasonable method.

18. Transparent Pricing Commitment

GRAIL believes users should understand the costs associated with buying and selling before committing to a transaction.

As GRAIL evolves, our fee structure may also evolve to support new marketplace features, reward participation, recognize trusted users, provide membership benefits, and improve the overall collecting experience. Whenever reasonably possible, applicable fees and discounts will be disclosed before a transaction is completed.
